Spoke to my gynae, Kenneth and Dr Ng of Mt Alvernia Hospital whom i usually see for colds about my recent health tests yesterday. Both of them shared the same view as the doctor at Balmoral clinic but surprisingly, both of them said the similar things of the same effect at different times. In fact, the usually quiet Kenneth told me:
"Joanne, i know it may be tough for u initially but no matter what, u must not give up. You have been through endometrisis cancer scare as well as thyroid disorders but you have braved through these two difficult periods of time with cheerfulness and positive attitude. You have been a strong gal and please continue to be strong. Diabetes is not the end of the world."
I was touched by his words. True enough, the first two days were horrible for me. No mood to do anything and totally depressed. Often asking, "God ah, why do i seem to always get the most terrific combination? At work, all the most troublesome parents are gathered in my class. I have been through thyroid disorders and cancer scare, now this?"
However, through quiet moments praying and reading the scriptures, i understand totally. If there is no trial and sorrows, we will never be a polished gem. A diamond becomes a diamond after ages of scraping and polishing. Through difficult times, we learn to be brave and we learn to trust. We learn to be more loving and to be more forgiving. We learn to be empathetic.
Counting my blessings among the thorns in a pot of roses..

2nd Fast Track Training
Grr..its been a tiring day for me, having woke up at 6am and rushing to open the centre at 7am.
Spoke to a kid's mum for an hour from 10am to 11am, finished work at 2pm and rushed for Herbalife's Fast Track Training at Capital Towers.
Being back to Capital Towers brought back memories. Just two years back, i was still a member of Fitness First and i would swim at its indoor pool every night..The staff were long gone..
Personally, i enjoyed the 2nd meeting more-Dream it, Do it. Particularly touched by KC's sharing, it is so real.
It is a simple slogan yet requires a lot of courage. Been contemplating whether to go into property and herbalife full time because of health reasons. Think it is time to nurse it back to pink health and time to recharge. Teaching is still my number 1 passion but somehow, i think after 3 years of being a part time mother, full time teacher to all these charges, it is time to take a breather.
I will say im quite lucky to have met the right teams in both areas. Guys who gave me the room to move around and were there to provide the support and advice. Rare gems in this competitve industry. Very grateful to Raymond for all the time he spent teaching me how to choose the right property instead of just pushing the property to us for the sake of selling. It was he who first taught me the value of customer retention, for i was once his customer before becoming friends. For the patience in answering to all my questions and not being pushy.
Thanks to Keith, Ryan and Chris for being there with all the support and advice as well as bearing with my bad temper. (looking guiltily at Ryan:P) Chris and Keith for being the siao ding dongs that they are:)
Thanks, i will continue to work even harder.
